Rangers Trip

It was an early start on Thursday 29th November 2018 as 29 boys and 4 staff set off for an overnight trip to Glasgow to see the mighty Glasgow Rangers FC take on Villareal in a Europa League clash at Ibrox Stadium.

The group made their way straight from the boat to Rangers training ground – Hummel Centre.

We arrived in early afternoon and the tour guide immediately took us around the first class training facilities – seeing first hand what it is like to live like a professional footballer and academy player. The tour was extra special, as academy player Chris McKee from our homeland, met us all in the press room for a Q&A. A great way to start the trip.

Following our tour, we checked into the hotel, received a buffett lunch and prepared for the game at Ibrox. Although the game ended 0-0, the atmosphere was electric – with the fans bursting into song throughout the 90 minutes.

The next day, it was time for breakfast and a tour of Ibrox Stadium, learning about the history of Glasgow Rangers and a walk down the tunnel.

We finished the trip with some shopping before the boat home. What a trip!
