Last month the boys in the STEM Club entered the Practical Action’s Design for a Better World competition. This was an engineering competition in which the boys had to design a technological innovation that would contribute towards a better world for society. This was a UK wide competition with hundreds of entries but four of our pupils came in the top 50! The boys in the top 50 received a certificate and a £5 gift voucher for Amazon. The boys were Alex Walker (8B1) in the Affordable and Clean Energy category; Harry Fleming and Naim Forde (8A2) in the Sustainable Cities and Communities category and Conor Burke (8A3) Sustainable Cities and Communities category. Good to see our Year 8 pupils beating competition from more senior pupils!
