Skills NI – Careers Event

All pupils in years 12, 13 and 14 made the trip to the Titanic Exhibition Centre on Tuesday 8th November 2016 to attend the Skills Northern Ireland careers and skills event.

First step of our School App launch is underway…

The first stage of launching our first ever school App has begun.  The App Club members and teacher in charge (Mr Lowe) have submitted the completed App to Apple where they will verify and test that the App is fully functional before making it made available in their App Store.

On Tuesday 13th September 2016, Ashfield Boys’ were invited to Parliament Buildings to deliver our peace pledge to the First Minister and deputy First Ministers.  Our Head boy, Sam Kelly escorted Rhys Jenkins, Year 9 Student Council representative along with Mrs Kerrigan.

Our School App is launching soon….

The App Club at Ashfield have been working tirelessly over the past year to develop and launch its very own school app.  Now that the app has been developed and is going through its final stages of testing, we are very close to the launch.
The team included: Owen Kelly (Strategic Planner), Craig McCord (Design Team), Travis Lord (Design Team), Zach Norwood (Design Team), Josh Thompson (App Development) and Tiago Marques (App Development), with the club being run by Mr Lowe.

Record Breaking ‘A’ Level Results

Once again Ashfield Boys are riding the crest of the wave of ‘A’ Level success. Congratulations to our Year 14 leavers who have surpassed all previous year groups by achieving the best ‘A’ Level results in our school’s history. Just over 85% of the boys attained good grades in three or more ‘A’ levels with 96% achieving two or more.

This year has seen our biggest ever intake of Year 8 boys which is testament to the value that you, the parents, continue to place in our school.
